Avoid Social Media Overwhelm
Social media overwhelm, it’s a thing. There’s so much to get done in the day-to-day of running a business that we find ourselves pushing off tasks that can have a huge impact on our business because there is just NOT ENOUGH TIME! I get it. As I’m writing this post, I’m in the car on my way to the next event (don’t worry, I’m not driving) after a day full of client work and meetings.
Here’s the key to keeping on track and staying consistent …batching. Batching content saves my life on the regular and allows me to stay consistent on social media without having to think about it every. single. day.
Here’s what I want you to do to get out of #overwhelm mode: STEP 1️⃣ Go to your calendar, pick a two-hour block of time and schedule a content planning session. This is brainstorming time for you (and your team) to look at the next 30-60 days in your business and plan your content themes, topics, daily posts, monthly emails, etc.
STEP 2️⃣: Go back to the calendar and find a 2-4 hour time block for the following week and schedule a content batching day. This is where you create the content you planned for. ✔️Write your emails ✔️ make your graphics ✔️write copy ✔️ record videos ✔️ whatever your role in the content strategy is, this is your time to do it.
If you can, assign out the posting and/or scheduling to a team member and add some reminders to your calendar to pop in on Facebook and Instagram stories, and then call it a day! That’s how you batch content, my friends, and let me tell you, it’s magic.
