If you’re posting a lot of content but not getting any engagement, it is likely you have seen a drastic decline in your reach and are feeling a little frustrated. 

If you want to win with against social media algorithms, you have to adjust your content strategy and start paying attention to the content that your following is engaging with! If you post a picture of your new rug and get only a handful of likes, but post a picture of yourself and get hundreds of likes and comments, that’s a clue! Your audience wants to see more of you! That doesn’t mean your new rug isn’t awesome, it’s just not very engaging. Pay attention to the posts that get your audience tapping and commenting.

Ask for likes: “Double tap if you agree…” Ask questions: “What are your favorite ways to relax and unplug?” Tell your audience what you want them to do. And respond to the people who do take the time to comment! This tells the algorithm that you are invested in your audience.

Social media algorithms are confusing and can be frustrating, but they don’t have to be! The algorithms were designed to help promote the content that is the most engaging. With a few simple tweaks to your game plan, that engaging content could be yours!
