Summer is just around the corner and with the energy of summer being vacation mode, kids out of school, short weeks and a longing for outdoor activity, not only do business owners find it hard to stay consistent with their content on social media but they also have a tough time knowing what to share with their audience to keep them engaged.
Today, I’m heading out for a week long vacation so I thought it would be a great time to share with you some of my tips to help keep your content game strong this summer break.
Schedule time each week to outline your content strategy for the next week. This is a great habit to get into regardless of if you are vacationing. Thinking ahead is imperative to your success with social media because it allows you to be proactive instead of reactive. When we are reactive things tend to go in order of importance and often times we overlook and neglect our social media.
Incorporate your vacation and summertime activities into your message. People often feel weird about incorporating personal interest into their business social media and I am here to tell you, STOP feeling weird about it. As business owners we are all human, we all vacation and we all need to take time out to recharge. Personally, I like to know that the people I am doing business with take time out to enjoy the finer things in life… like life.
Allow yourself to be in the moment and use this opportunity to post impromptu ideas, thoughts, questions to your following, photos and live videos. Like most business owners, when I step away from my business and recharge, I allow myself the space to tap into my creative genius and AMAZING things come from it. Share your creative genius with your following!
