So… you’re starting a YouTube channel. You’ve uploaded your profile picture but now what?
How are you going to grab your audience’s attention? Real Marketing Solutions has a tip for you to help you set up a YouTube channel that stands out!
Adding a banner to your channel can help bring your channel to life. YouTube recommends channel art at 2560 x 1440 pixels for best results with a maximum file size of 2MB. YouTube will scale your banner automatically from 640 x 175 pixels to 1060 x 175 pixels. Knowing how to size and upload your banner is one thing, but creating it is another. We highly recommend using Canva, a free online graphic design tool with thousands of free templates and designs for you to use!
To create a banner on Canva, create an account or log in, select create a design, find the Social Media and Email Headers section, and choose YouTube Channel Art. After you have selected that, a column will appear on the left with templates. All you have to do is pick a template and customize it with your branding to make it your own!
That’s it for our digital marketing tip this week! Please check back next week for how to use your YouTube profile description to continue to attract viewers.
